Cable TV Brings Forward DDAS Introduction

KLabs aims to standardize Downloadable Conditional Access System (DCAS) to help Korean cable companies to early introduce DCAS to the nation.

 

Under this goal, KLabs plans to establish its test bed for DCAS pilot system in the first half of this year for solution verification and to push forward the standardization in the second half.

 

Companies which will join KLabs in the DCAS pilot system project are LG CNS, LG Electronics, Digicaps, Xcrypt and Coretrust. These companies are expected to link their solutions necessary for DCAS pilot system development, including headend, CAS, DCAS devices, to the KLabs test bed in an organic way, contributing to technology verification for successful DCAS commercialization.
