A New Era of ‘Mobiles-Web Storage transmission’ to Kick Off

An innovative service is to be launched to enable mobile users to access computers or web storages, search and download files on request via wireless internet access. Onse Telecom revealed on 24th through a strategic business alliance with IDCO it is launching from 25th onwards its mobile files transmission service named ‘So1 file transmission service’ combining ‘So 1 wireless internet’ with mobile phones. Thanks to Onse’s new service, mobile users will be able to use their handsets on the move to send their files reserved in their PCs or web storages to others as well as to search and download files they want on other user’s lists through a shared wireless access. In addition, the users can take care of their own lists of files and folders by copying or deleting them through their handsets and can also use the remote file controlling feature that informs the process of the file transmissions to other users. This service will charge its users 1500 won monthly with no use limits and there will be no surcharge other than the monthly payment since it chooses not to adopt packet-based charging method. The company is expected to launch in the second half of this year an additional function that enables mobile users to see and edit their digital documents, enjoy digital videos, MP3 music files, digital photos via a streaming service without saving the files stored in PCs and web storages in their handsets.
